Without some form of input, how can you show people how to use the standard functions like scanf(), getchar() and so on? Even a simulated command line would allow a little bit of input and provide a way to demonstrate reading command line arguments in your program. I would suggest that a separate textarea be allowed that is then fed to the compiled program via stdin.
